"Port Everglades is the deepest port in Florida. It is relatively a young port, dating back to the 1920's, and literally, as well. It's creator was Joseph Wesley Young, founder of Hollywood-By-The-Sea, or today's Hollywood, Fla. This is the home port of the Oasis of the Seas, The world's largest cruise ship. Port Everglades is vying for the title of "Cruise Capital of the World"
